Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £36,000 per year

Due to a substantial growth over the last 12 months, We are looking for a quantity surveyor/estimator for the residential sector which will involve costing and managing jobs such as new builds, basements, extensions, lofts, refurbishments etc. Office based work only, the right candidate must have good understanding of the industry, hands on experience, subcontractor base and positive mindset, mood killers are not welcome, leave your problems at the door.

Estimator / Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

Review incoming tenders, specifications and contract documentation to analyse project risk

Manage tender submission schedule

Attend pre-tender site visits, and undertake site surveys

Obtain competitive prices from suppliers and subcontractors if required

Produce quotations/tenders using Adam Renovations template (values from £100k to £2m)

Prepare and deliver detailed, qualified, well presented tender submissions

Negotiate with clients to secure contracts

Attend pre-contract client meetings, as required

Manage subcontractor packages & produce a programme of works based on the quote

Produce valuations, variations and final accounts.

Estimator / Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

Industry relevant qualification

Previous experience of Estimating/ Quantity Surveying within the construction industry

Knowledge of materials / construction methods

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent IT skills

Proven record of working effectively with suppliers & clients

Estimator / Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

Performance based bonus scheme

Travelling allowance during working hours

Working hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday – Friday

Salary: £36,000per year depending on experience
