Operations Manager (Cleaning)

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

My client were formed approximately six years ago and they have plans to grow considerably further and are currently looking for a FM professional who can demonstrate they have the experience and skills to be a successful leader of multi site cleaning contracts. We are looking for a candidate who will be a integral component of the growth, so somebody who is ready to roll up there sleeves and bring with them some processes and procedures for their cleaning division.

This is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing company. The role will involve providing leadership to the supervisors and mobile teams across multiple sites to enable them to carry out their daily functions in a professional and responsible manner at all times whilst not also being afraid to roll your sleeves up and be hands on when needed. Currently they serve the Merseyside, Wirral, Cheshire, Deeside, Manchester, Blackburn and surrounding areas and the portfolio to oversee will be made up of 46 contracts which are a mixture of Daily Office Cleaning, Head offices daily cleaning, DCs schools etc. The cleaning operative team is currently around 80-100.

The role will also involve;

* Having a can do attitude with level logistical thinking, confident, compliance aware, proactive and able to work well under pressure. Representing Oculus when meeting and working with clients, so a pleasant personality and self—motivation are key.

* Travelling between sites with some early, mornings late evening (occasional weekend)

* Solving problems and understanding that challenges and customer demands on a daily basis will be part of your role and are an opportunity to improve processes and delivery to their clients.

Candidates must:

* A proven record of Management experience of staff and premises within a cleaning or trade industry

* Candidates can reside anywhere within their operating area, but the Wirral/Merseyside area would be ideal

* Have an good level of experience in the use of IT, especially Microsoft Word, Excel

* Complete KPI’S

* Understanding of Current HR and deal with any on-site issues/with the support of our HR Department

* Have excellent and professional communication skills – presentation, interpersonal and management skills

* Strong organisational skills

* RAMS & COSHH Data

* Full Drivers Licence

* Overseeing the Cleaning Operations – Reporting to General Manager and MD

* Tool Box Talks and Training of operatives Interviewing/Employing/Dismissals

A car allowance or van, Phone and laptop, are provided.
