Operations Manager

Our client, a multisite Yorkshire manufacturing business, seek to appoint an Operations Manager to act as the second in command of an already successful manufacturing business. The appointed Operations Manager will have overall responsibility for production, design, quality, health and safety, engineering and supply chain activities. Operations Manager – Role & Responsibilities

* Deliver on the operational KPIs for the site whilst simultaneously further developing a culture of continuous improvement
* Lead senior colleagues in manufacturing and engineering to contribute effectively to the growth strategy of the business
* Deliver on long term strategic vision of the company and implement cultural change
* Flexible attitude on a day to day basis. Firm and persistant when expressing views but a good listener comfortable changing course if given compelling reasons
* P&L Management

Operations Manager – Skills & Abilities

* Of degree calibre with well evidenced leadership and coaching abilities
* Formal Lean and Continuous Improvement training. Track record of lean implementation and development of a culture of continuous improvement
* Prior experience working for a world class manufacturer in a senior management / director post
* Gravitas to lead a large team. Comfortable from shop floor to board room
* Relationship builder able to increase co-operation across departments
* P&L experience
