Salary: £31,200 – £37,200 per year

Our client based in Royston is looking for an ERP Technical Administrator. You’ll support the Operations and Engineering teams to maintain for quality the lifecycle of Oracle ERP data, item master specifications, BOMs, Routings, standard times and resources, costs and configurations for the product range for sales, manufacture and service in accordance to company standards and procedures. You’ll also support New Product Introduction (NPI) from RandD into manufacture, as well as End of Life Obsolescence control. This position is conveniently located close to the local rail station with direct links to Cambridge and Kings Cross.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Using ERP system to perform transactions such as new part creation, BOMs, routings and cost controls to support the process of introducing company systems, in conjunction with Design and Project Engineers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Planning coordinators
* Structuring new designs in ERP system (Oracle) and CRM system (MS Dynamics)
* Compiling Bills of Materials and other essential documentation (ISO9001)
* Maintaining the status of engineering changes, both at the request stage and during the implementation stages
* Revision change control and Product Life Cycle (effectivity) management – checked against Product Data Management via the ECO process
* Assist in NPI of products and the release for sales process
* Driving release of new parts through company processes to final order release
* Assisting in advance procurement and material planning using ERP system
* Restructuring ERP information for improved process flow
* Setting up and maintaining product configurations in ERP system
* Support any requirement for reporting on BOM/Routing change history
* General manufacturing data administration duties
* Coordination with Engineering departments to ensure correct information transfer and to assist with data issues during build
* You’ll work on multiple projects at different phases in project lifecycle at the same time, and able to switch between priorities when required
* Working to agreed timescales and communicating progress at regular intervals to all levels within the business
* Exceptional focus on Right First Time Design to Manufacture and minimising warranty costs
* Data integrity management of the MRP system periodically – ensuring all information is validated and accurate

What We’re Looking For:

* Minimum GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (A levels preferred) or equivalent level of ERP system proficiency through experience
* Excellent understanding of product lifecycle management and MRP processes
* Experience in performing full PLM engineering or operational transactions preferably using Oracle ERP system
* Previous experience working within a design and manufacturing environment
* Working Knowledge of ISO 9001 with experience of implementing and developing quality procedures
* Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 18001
* You’ll have experience a similar role for around 3 years
* Competence in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) with good experience using complex spreadsheets
* Appreciation of document management systems, to access design specifications, drawings and procedures
* You’ll be able to demonstrate quality first success in an engineering environment
* Able to take ownership of allocated tasks and take them to completion with lots of energy and a clear sense of urgency
* Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
* Strong analytical skills – able to identify solutions and create clear action plans
* Effective communicator with strong written and listening skills
* Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, matrixes managed environment satisfying both internal and external customers
* Good time management, able to prioritise own work.
