Due to continuing business growth and success we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Commercial Manager to join our team in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

The role is responsible for the day to day management of the retailer account, generation of account plans, and has budgetary p&l responsibility. A good understanding of: category management; consumer and marketing KPI`s, costings, margins, negotiation, forecasting, project management, promotions and understanding of commercial decisions on the P&L are a prerequisite for this position. An ability to prioritise is important as the role will require an element of “juggling”. Communication is key to success in this role, as this will aid success both internally and externally. As a Commercial Manager, comes the responsibility of reporting to a monthly Commercial Exec, where business strategy and initiatives are debated and actioned.

The ideal Commercial Manager:

– Substantial commercial experience managing retail accounts in food FMCG
– Persuasive Selling & Negotiation skills
– Project management experience
– National Accounts experience
– Excellent communication/presentation skills
– Financial awareness
– Computer literate, excel and PowerPoint
– Strong analytical skills/ability to interpret
– Team player, but also a self-starter
– Excellent food knowledge and skills
