Commercial Manager

Commercial Manager; London; 3 months; £400/day

My client a public sector organisation is looking to hire a Commercial Manager for a 3 month contract for their site in London. The individual will provide commercial transaction support, primarily focused on one transaction but will be expected to work flexibly across the programme according to priority.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
*The post will report directly to the head of the commercial team who is commercially responsible for delivery of each sale.
*Closely working with project staff and external advisers is essential as is expertise and experience of complex acquisition and, ideally, merger and acquisitions.
*Clarity on the ability to terminate current contracts
*Working with programme Finance leads to understand impact and realisation of any benefits
*Clarity on any renegotiation of existing contracts that is necessary to support programme goals.
*Share with external and internal stakeholders the proposed and emerging views on programme Transitions and Plans to help suppliers plan exit activities
*Act as the primary focal point between the incumbent supplier(s) and the programme for matters pertaining to the Programme
*Designing approach to effectively address the existing commercial landscape (scope and scale to be defined and agreed) by providing a method of treatment in order to reduce any unknown risks to the programme.
*Facilitating the management of associated cost and budgets in relation to any negotiation; exit and/or termination
*Manage the impact of existing commercial financial models Establish and incorporate new Vendors into any emerging Vendor Management Operating model Work with the Vendor Management function to provide sight of the commercial engagement from legacy and new vendors.
*Experience in due diligence and major risks associated with closing or amending large IT contracts. Ability to lead project teams ensuring key deliverables are met
*The successful candidate will be an experienced IT professional with a background in working with multiple out sourced vendors.
*Operates comfortably at senior levels in a variety of situations
*Experience of working in a complex multisource sourcing programme with a matrixed delivery model
