Analytical Laboratory Analyst – Somerset
Opportunity:
This is a brand new role that has been created due to expansion which you don’t want to miss out on!
Your role as a Analytical Laboratory Analyst based in Somerset will involve testing / analysing a range of samples, raw materials and finished products using wet chemistry analytical and instrumental techniques such as Gas Chromatography, HPLC, FTIR, UV analysis to GMP, GLP and Health & Safety (H&S) standards.
Other duties include:
* Equipment calibration and validation.
* Preparation of Certificates of Analysis.
* Releasing or rejecting analysed samples / products.
* Raising raw material specifications.
* Maintaining reagent and equipment stocks.
* Preparation of customer samples.
* Investigation of customer complaints.
This is a full time permanent job opportunity, working an alternating shift pattern of:
* Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.00pm – Friday 6.00am to 1.00pm.
* Monday to Thursday 2.00pm to 10.00pm – Friday 1.00pm to 8.00pm.

Skills:

* A scientific degree or equivalent.
* Experience of working in a laboratory. Ideally analytical techniques within the Personal care / FMCG or related industry is an advantage.
