Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year

Success Recruit are currently working with a growing and well-established construction company based in Central Essex who are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.

The successful Experienced Quantity Surveyor will be assisting in the provision of Quantity Surveying services under the direction of an experienced team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects within multiple sectors, such as Local & Central government, transport and health.

The Quantity Surveyor will be expected to:

· Have excellent language, literacy and numeracy skills

· Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal

· Have the ability to build strong relationships & minimum of 7 years plus

Job Specifics

Purpose of the role

The main purpose of the Quantity Surveyor will be to work within a busy team and support with opening up and developing relationships on a variety of projects, gaining and understanding pre and post tender estimating and surveying multiple projects.

Duties to include but not limited to:

* Surveying projects

* Preparation of quotations/ bills of quantities

* Cost monitoring, producing financial statements including P&L

* Procurement of material and labour

* Variation costing, documenting and breakdowns

* On and off-site measuring

* Programme of works and labour review

* Contract payments and final accounts

The position would suit someone who has obtained relevant qualifications within Quantity Surveying (Degree or HNC).

Our client is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and who is willing to learn all aspects of the role, showing proactivity within the position at all times.

Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00am – 5:00pm

Salary: £60,000 – £72,000+ dependant on experience
