Technical Support Engineer / Technician (Danish Speaker)

Our client is a Global Industrial Technology firm specialising in Industrial Automation.

They are seeking a Danish & English speaking candidate for a role within their technical support centre based in Milton Keynes.

Our client will provide training and education for the Technical element of this role.

It is not essential that you have experience with Automation Engineering, but would be an obvious advantage.

Our client are happy to consider any candidates that have Dual Language skills and come from a technical background in either:

1. Industrial Automation / Control Systems
Programmable Logic Controllers / PLC / SCADA / Instrumentation / Drives / Motor Control Centres / Industrial Automation / Control Systems

2. Electrical Engineering
Understanding of electrical schematics, power, system design and engineering.

3. Industrial IT
Networking, Ethernet, TCP / IP, Network Communications, Protocols etc.

4. Any other form of Engineering e.g.
Mechanical / Process / Manufacturing / CAD etc.

The application process:
• Our client has offices in Denmark and will be able to interview candidates locally initially.
• For final stage interviews out client will pay for travel and accommodation expenses to be in the UK.
The Role Description:
• Once fully trained this role will provide support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging systems.
• You will be involved in reporting design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
• You may also be involved in customer installation and training.
• Providing support to customers/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
• Documentation of all queries, to a standard format, is an essential part of the role along with familiarity with the usual range of PC-based business tools.

INTERACTION
Frequently interacts with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others or conduct presentations of technical information/project activities. Networks with senior internal/external personnel in own area of expertise.

PERSONAL PROFILE
In this role, communication is essential. Applicants should be confident with their communication. Ability to express and describe complex technical information with ease over both telephone and email is essential.

LANGUAGE
First language or fluency in Danish AND English are essential in this position.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
For enhanced applications, experience with Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware products from a PLC, SCADA, DCS or Industrial Automation perspective would be beneficial, but not essential.

Experience of Drives, Motor Control Centres, Communication Protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, HART would also be beneficial but not essential.
