Arlington Moore is working on behalf of a hugely successful company based in the NG4 area who are looking to appoint a Stores Controller who will be responsible for the distribution of raw materials to Operations, whilst maintaining effective controls within the Stores Department.

The company is undergoing a period of growth, with a specific goal to implement a new MRP system. The successful candidate will have a key contribution in successfully implementing this new system and should therefore be familiar with using and maintaining data within computerised stock systems.

Core Duties of the Stores Controller role

• Ensuring all goods are receipted in a timely and accurate manner
• Preparing kits of parts against pick lists / Bill of materials on time and in full as forecast by the Production Planner
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the Stores area
• Undertaking perpetual inventory stock checks and ensuring that stock levels tally with stock reports
• Maintaining computerised records for stock holding, championing the functionality and data integrity of the stock control software
• Assisting stakeholders in resolving stock holding queries

• Ability to manage a number of projects and initiatives simultaneously
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise
• Attention to detail Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision
• Experience of Line Managership & Team Leading within a stores / warehouse environment
