Financial Controller Job

Our client, a new and expanding business in the tourism industry are setting up a new operation based near Llandudno. As part of this new venture, they are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team.This role will be both challenging and varied, as you will be the key finance professional managing the accounts for two large sites. As part of your role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the finance operations, in addition to providing operational support to the senior management team.

Key responsibilities for this Financial Controller job, Llandudno are:

* Preparation and review of monthly management accounts including Profits & Loss, Balance sheet, Cash Flow
* Preparation and posting of accruals/prepayments, debtor, creditors, cash/bank, net wages
* Ensure all stock sheets are updated and monitored for discrepancies
* Preparation of weekly financial reports
* Provide a proactive contribution to operations with the emphasis on cost management
* Provide guidance and training to staff on all procedures regarding cash, purchasing, debtors
* Reconciliation of accounts, preparation and posting of journals, debtor management, managing fixed asset register, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Managing monthly and weekly payroll and year end submission
* Supplier payments and reconciliations

The ideal candidate, will be a focused and enthusiastic individual who is a natural leader who takes ownership of tasks and exceeds expectations. You will have the following skills and experience:

* Strong experience of working in a commercial financial environment
* Previous management accounts experience
* Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable
* Strong user of Excel
* Flexible to undertake additional duties outside of finance
* Team player with a “hands on” approach
* Ability to manage projects and own workload, consistently meeting deadlines
* Good organisation and communication skills.
* Previous experience of working in the leisure or tourism industry is highly desirable
