Financial Controller

Salary: £55,250 – £60,355 per year

Our client, a multi academy Trust, is seeking a charismatic Financial Controller to take an operational lead in delivering strong financial management and financial reporting on behalf of the central Trust. This role is key in working in partnership with fifteen schools to provide a high-quality finance service to over 900 staff, on the south coast.

Reporting to the Trust Finance Director, the Financial Controller has a key role as operational lead, delivering strong financial management and comprehensive financial reporting with a solution focused approach. Providing advice, guidance, and support to senior leaders with budget management, statutory and other financial reporting, you will prepare monthly management accounts as well as consolidated accounts, which contributes to driving forward the Trust’s vision and delivers its Financial Strategy.

You will lead on the production of the Trust’s three-year Financial Plan and take an operational lead on the full year-end process.

As a growing and evolving Trust, you will thrive on continuous change and be resilient in a fast-paced environment. You will be a qualified accountant with a recognised accountancy body, either CCAB or CIMA. Knowledge of academy finance and PS Financials is highly desirable for this role. You will contribute, add value, and help shape not only the financial provision but the whole Trust. This is a full time, on-site opportunity.
