Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
RK Accountancy and Finance currently recruiting on behalf of a Manufacturing Company based in Ossett.
They are looking to bring in an Assistant Financial Controller to work within their team. You will be responsible for Managing a Team of 7 whilst reporting directly in to the Group Financial Controller.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Controller
- Leading the Management Accounts team in the preparation of management accounts, analysis and completion
- To assist in the preparation of the annual audit
- Guide & Support in the monthly preparation and submission of bank returns
- Prepare management accounts for selected overseas companies
- Monthly staff expenses checks.
- Review balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Support and prepare analysis work on management accounts
- To manage cover for direct reports during holiday periods
- To be an effective credit manager, referring to Group Financial Controller and Group Finance Director on large key accounts
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT return.
- Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
- To manage the balances on the intercompany general ledger, sales and purchase ledgers
About the Person
- To have worked in a similar role
- To be fully competent with ERP computer systems
- Experience Managing a Team
- To be willing to assist and support with special projects as and when they arise
- Good working knowledge of purchase ledger, sales ledger and cashbook management
- To ideally have experience in a manufacturing or distribution background
- To be familiar with importing of goods and landed costs
- Microsoft Excel
- Attention to Detail
