Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor – New Build Housing

Up to £66,000+ package

Approach Personnel are pleased to be working with a national residential developer who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Yorkshire Office to support the Commercial Department.

As part of the Commercial Team, you will be responsible for the control of all costs relating to the management of sites, ensuring suppliers and subcontractors are procured correctly and on time to ensure timely delivery of our housing developments.

My client is looking for either a Quantity Surveyor already or a Senior Quantity Surveyor

Projects will be a variety of volume builds based in the West Yorkshire & South Yorkshire areas.

Duties

× Preparation and production of measured quotation works

× Ascertain costs for clientele using a selection of schedules of rates when requested

× Monitor and control the performance of Sub-contractors and Suppliers in relation to the delivery of contracts

× Complete requisition for Sub Contractor Payments

× Preparation of Contract Cost Value Reconciliations

× Attend and represent the Company at client meetings

× Respond expediently to client enquiries relating to the contract

The ideal candidate

× CSCS Card

× COINS experience – advantagous

× First Aid

× Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills

× Currently working for a new build developer overseeing a minimum of 3 live sites – min 2 years’ experience

× Must be computer literate

× HNC/HND in Building Studies

× Previous Schedule of rates experience

× Good Microsoft Excel / Word and E-Mailing Skill

× Planning, programming and prioritising skills

× Flexible approach to work with ability to work on own

× Attention to detail

× Full driving License
