Quantity Surveyor – Civils

Salary: £66,000 per year

I am working with a leading civil engineering & building company who are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their business within Loughborough

The role will involve working on major water/waste infrastructure framework projects across the UK.

You will play a key role within the team delivering quality and value for money projects to our clients.

Job will involve but will not be limited to:

• Manage the subcontractor appointment process.
• Preparation of tenders, cost estimates and quotations within client deadlines.
• Preparation of value engineering proposals to reflect Client budgetary requirements.
• Preparation of cost, value and reconciliation monthly reports on each assigned project.
• Manage money recovery in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions
• Coordinate with Clients, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers to ensure information; costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of each project through to final accounts.
• Manage sub-contractor’s account in strict accordance with their terms and conditions to meet project demands/time frames.
• Visits on site to view works completed, quality and management of costs.
• To undertake any other duties as allocated.

We are looking for candidates with either a degree within quantity surveying or a related construction discipline with a minimum of 2 years experience ideally within civil engineering, water or utilities. Also a good knowledge of construction contracts such as NEC3/NEC4.

A full driver’s license is required, as some potential site visits may be required.

In return my client is offering a starting salary between 45,000 – £66,000 + fuel allowance/expenses, mobile phone, and life assurance.
