Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £60 per hour

The Client:

Our client is a Tier 1 UK Top 50 Main Contractor, working on a diverse range of general building projects scaling general works through to £50m major projects. They’re a respected name throughout the national construction industry and are at the forefront of many iconic projects in East Anglia.

The Role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have overall financial responsibility for an exciting base of projects assigned to you across the region. You’ll ensure effective cost management, support delivery on key contractual issues, operate as a focal point for the business, facing clients and external consultants and will ensure, through accurate forecasting and cost/value reporting, the profitability of the works you oversee.

Responsibilities:

• Cost management of a range of exciting projects, covering the commercial, education, refurbishment, heritage sectors and more
• Forecast, monitor and maintain cash flow to ensure it is maximised effectively.
• Attend and host key meetings internally and externally, maintaining professional standards and promoting the company’s standards and values at all times.
• Be aware of, and take the lead on, contractual interests and ensure that delivery teams are at all times advised and aware of key requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree qualified or equivalent, with accreditation from relevant bodies (RICS, CIOB)

• A demonstrable background of leading general building projects from a commercial standpoint within main contracting
• You’ll ideally be situated locally to Cambridge and have an understanding of the region geographically and within the industry
