The Client & Role | Who Are They?

If you love manufacturing and have a broad exposure to lots of areas, this one is for you. Described by the General Manager as a role to ‘catch all the things that fall through the gaps’, the broad remit of this position will see you get involved in any and all areas; should therefore provide a huge degree of variety.

Intended to be the interface between Technical, manufacturing and supply chain, you will be involved in:

• Managing the QMS 9001, 14001 and 18001, conducting internal audits and hosting external audits.
• Supporting new products into production, writing SOPs and production routing.
• Investigating quality concerns and managing through to corrective actions, either on the shop floor or with suppliers.
• Anything else that adds value in the whole supply chain, design, procurement, production, quality process.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

Due to the broad nature of this role it may be that you have come from the following background, Production Manager, Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, SHEQ or compliance, or indeed anything else as the skill set is more important than the title.

The key skills required are problem solving, ability to work with people, good knowledge of manufacturing and production and the various lean and quality tools, some experience with the management of QMS systems.

The recruiting business is a stable, profitable and well-funded SME, supplying products into the non-surgical medical sector, so experience of MHRA would be useful but by knows means necessary.
