Project Manager – Construction

Salary: £60,000 per year

Based in Kent and recognised as one of the South East’s leading independent facilities services, spanning all trades associated with building works, refurbishment, M&E, maintenance and commercial cleaning this dynamic company are now looking to enhance their Projects team with a full time, permanent PROJECT MANAGER.

PROJECTS MANAGER / CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Driving Licence required.

SALARY:  £50K basic + DOE, expenses, additional benefits & pension.

HOURS: Full Time, Permanent.

As an experienced Project Manager, you will be part of the Projects Team, where you will be ultimately responsible for the delivery of all projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the agreed scope.

You will determine necessary resources and ensure compliance with the company best practice, procedures, H&S and statutory requirements.

Duties include:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Negotiate contracts and communicate with relevant parties to ensure that all projects are completed to time quality and cost constraints
• Supervise the works and personnel providing technical support and advice when required
• Evaluate progress and adapt scope, timelines and costs when needed
• Prepare reports
• Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted
• Establish safe systems of work and compliance to risk assessment, method statements, COSHH and mandatory signage
• Obtain permits and licences from relevant authorities

You will be a highly skilled Project Manager with experience in construction / production and an in depth understanding of procedures, materials and project management principles.

You will have excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills, with the ability to use your initiative and work under pressure.

Ideally you will have experience in:

• Working alongside all levels of management
• Pricing works and preparing submission of tenders
• Using your initiative and working under pressure
• H&S policies and statutory compliance
• Microsoft Excel, Word, ability to learn the in-house client database and system
• Core customer relations
