Construction Manager

A private developer has an opportunity for a Construction Manager, or a Contracts Manager looking to take a step up to Construction Manager, to join their company, there main areas of work cover East Midlands and Northampton each year they are growing and starting more sites than the previous. The company are offering a progression path, training and support. Experience working for a spec house builder is preferable.

The Projects range from new build executive town houses and appartments, Refubs of listed buildings and conversions of properties into apartments

The Construction Manager

The Construction manager must have a housing background and previous experience as a contracts Manager working for a spec developer, the ideal candidate must be able to manage a team be able to plan build programs and oversee the whole of the Production team. You must also have an eye for detail, good communication skills and high finishing standards.

Construction Manager Duties;

Coordinate the commercial, production and design teams.
Drive Sites Forward
Have competent IT skills
Using leadership skills to ensure a zero incident health & safety culture, implementing all regulatory health & safety
Supporting and encouraging the development of team members, motivating them to meet objectives
Delivering the projects or schemes to the agreed returns, to budget, both safely and on time
Ensuring that all contract administration / procedures are undertaken
Controlling and managing projects / site budgets including profit and loss, and managing budget constraints
Implementing detailed programs which allow accurate monitoring and reporting
Managing site logistics and communication plan
Securing appropriate resources to deliver the project / scheme
Knowledge of NHBC standards, codes for sustainable homes section agreements etc
