Production General Manager

Salary: £84,000 per year

Arlington Moore Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly respected food manufacturing business who continues to expand and flourish. They are now looking for an experienced Production General Manager for their busy site in the Wakefield area. The role as site General Manager will be responsible for leading, motivating and empowering the team to meet site strategy and to ensure the delivery of first-class service to customers.

As the General Manager you will be responsible for the following: –

* Providing leadership for the site and managing a team of Production Manager, Quality management and Engineering Manager reports as well as indirect production reports

* Leading the implementation of site strategy

* Planning and managing production resourcing to meet customer and business requirements

* Ensuring production process efficiency targets are communicated, owned, targeted, and delivered e.g., labour and waste

* Attending customer review meetings

* Driving continuous improvements in all areas of the operations

* Providing H&S leadership for the site

* Managing and leadership of production colleagues including managing staff issues, setting, and monitoring KPIs and performance reviews

* Assisting in the recruitment process and formulation of training and development plans

Successful General Manager candidates will ideally have the following: –

* Previous experience within a similar production, manufacturing role within food or similar environment

* Knowledge and experience of continuing Lean principles within production, manufacturing

* Experience of production site management

* Excellent people management skills and the ability to coach and grow talent
