Are you looking for a highly varied and autonomous role, where you will be assisting the production manager, within a growing business that has been established over 100 years?

On offer is an opportunity with a dynamic, independent business who are delivering leading freight solutions nationwide. You will be working alongside the production manager, to ensure that products meet the required standards for quality, cost and delivery. You will also be assisting the HSE manager to ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation, and industry best practice. Your role will be extremely varied, as you will be liasing with different departments, problem solving and reporting back to the management team.

The role:

• Co-ordinating, and organising the workload of the factory in order to minimize production problems, bottlenecks or down time.
• Ensuring that adequate resources of plant, equipment, tooling and people are available in order to fulfil the production plan.
• Working with the maintenance team to ensure there is a well maintained preventative maintenance plan available.
• Ensuring that the regulations with regard to health and safety at work act and the environmental policy are understood and complied with by all personnel within the manufacturing department.

The person:

• Experience in a supervisory role, within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Ability to understand technical production drawings
