Job Summary: Participates in the design of production processes, procedures, and equipment. Supports new product development and contributes to new product introduction. Identifies and recommends solutions to production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling. Works within the production engineering team to provide comprehensive support to the production team.

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Actively participates in the development of processes and procedures for Manufacturing and documents production process procedures. Develops production tooling and participates in the acquisition of capital equipment providing inputs regarding the cost-effectiveness of solutions considered.
* Participates in the production gate process with Engineering and Manufacturing during New Product Introduction and Manufacturing Release.
* Supports the Service Team in customer-related issues and provides technical support to service staff when required.
* Works with the production operators to provide a positive and supportive culture by addressing technical concerns in a timely and satisfactory fashion.
* Provides first line of support for electronics troubleshooting on the shop floor.
* Primarily responsible for all elements of electronics test.
* Responsible for MRB triage and actions.
* Responsible for documentation of work processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Mentor production technicians in performing at their best.
* Provide technical training in specific areas of competence when required.

Required Skills and Abilities:
* Comfortable reading electronic schematics.
* Proficiency MS Office. Familiarity with Altium and CAD viewer applications.
* Basic experience setting up manufacturing lines and processes. Familiarity with value stream mapping and 5S elements preferred.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Experience in an ISO 9001 environment.

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
* 5+ years’ hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing that includes significant experience in production of electronic assembly, hand soldering, etc.

Hours of work
Monday to Friday 07:00 – 16:00

Salary £35 – £50k
