Production Manager

We seek on behalf of our client, a successful steelwork fabrication business based in the West Midlands, an experienced Production Manager that has worked within the steelwork industry. A very competitive starting salary of £54,0000 – £55,0000 D.O.E. is on offer plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Production Manager Duties:

– Running of steelwork production to ensure that agreed delivery schedules are met, health and safety is adhered to and that quality is maintained.

– Supervision and management of production team and process.

– Ensure that machine maintenance and repairs are carried out in conjunction with the maintenance team.

– Ensure that required materials and consumables are ordered in conjunction with the company buyer.

– Manage transport of fabricated items to project sites.

– Provide regular updates to Director.

Production Manager Requirements:

– Strong background and experience in structural steelwork fabrication is essential.

– Experience working with or managing steel processing ie shot blast, saw and drill lines, paint etc.

– Previous management/supervisory role held within a structural steelwork fabrication environment is essential.

– You should have a flexible can do approach and have good communication and organisational skills.

– You should be a good communicator (written and verbal).

– Be a good problem solver and have a can do attitude.
