Production Assembly Fitter

Salary: £26,000 per year

Due to a bulging order book my client is seeking a skilled Production Assembly Fitter. You’ll be an experienced and qualified mechanical technician, who after initial extensive product training, will have all the skills to then hit the ground running.

As production ramps up to meet outstanding demand, you’ll be assembling a range of complex specialist machinery under the supervision of the production supervisor in a busy team. You will be a multi-skilled operative utilising a wide range of engineering manufacturing activities, tools and techniques. Your contribution to this Lean Manufacturing environment will be crucial for efficiency, accuracy and quality or workmanship so if you take great pride in your work and love to see high quality engineering products roll off the production line then this exciting opportunity is for you.

What you will be doing as the Production Assembly Fitter:

* Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assemblies and subassemblies are brought together in a well equipped production environment using a range of hand, assembly / fitting and air-operated tools and processes

* Working to the manufacturers Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) you will be conversant with production processes using written instructions and engineering drawings

* Ensure a clean, tidy and safe workplace using 5S processes and all PPE as required, good Covid-19 protocols are in place

* Keep up to date with build changes through accurate checking and acknowledging changes as well as maintaining a correct log of work completed

Production Assembly Fitter skills and qualities

* Extensive experienced in the use and application of a wide variety of assembly/ fitting tools, processes and equipment gained in an engineering manufacturing company to produce high quality products

* Knowledge of automotive, agricultural and high value complex engineering equipment is highly desirable

* Team player with the passion and ability to work accurately, calmly, meet deadlines, pay attention to detail and especially take pride in a quality finish for the products along with initiative, adaptability and flexibility in a team

* You should have strong core technical engineering skills and training will of course be provided for each product assembly process

* Valid UK driving licence. Free parking is available.

Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday
