Flame Health Optical Sales are currently recruiting for a Brand Manager in the South West area to join our client who are one of the leading optical frame companies in the world.
The company has been making eyewear products for over 75 years, designing manufacturing and distributing high-quality prescription frames, sunglasses and sports eyewear under licensing agreements for leading luxury and premium brands as well as under its own brands.
Our client directly controls the entire business cycle and it is strongly oriented towards product development and design. Through its team of designers, who ensure the continual stylistic and technical innovation that has always been a distinguishing feature of the Group.
Brands
The Group manages a unique portfolio of in-house and licensed brands, selected according to their competitive positioning and international prestige, with careful customer segmentation. They are licensed to produce eyewear for some of the world’s leading fashion brands:
Céline, Dior, Fendi, Fossil, Gucci, Givenchy, Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Max Mara, Max&Co., Pierre Cardin, Tommy Hilfiger, BOSS, BOSS Orange. Recently, the company have announced the launch of new eyewear collection across its “Atelier” segment with Ellie Saab and across its mass cool segment with Havaianas and Swatch to be launched in 2017 in UK.

By 2020, their objective is to get their core brands accounting for 40% of their portfolio (vs 25% today) and to grow by a minimum of 6% year and year.

Mission:
The essential activity of the Brand Manager is to achieve sales, build/manage and develop brand distribution according to guidelines and objectives.
Responsibilities:
The Brand Sales Manager needs to build relationships with customers and to represent the company at all times.
The Brand Sales Manager will also conduct appointments and cold calls with the customers of the assigned region on a daily basis with the aim of selling the assigned brand portfolio. Objective is to get in average 4-6 appointments per day.
The Brand Sales Manager will have the primarily responsibility of seeking and acquiring new accounts and achieving market penetration in the assigned territory. Once a new customer is acquired the Representative’s responsibility is to maintain, develop and grow the customer.
With their excellent knowledge of the customers’ sales history and clear vision of its potential, and with an excellent knowledge of all the company collections, the Brand Manager will counsel the customers in their selection and trade marketing activities.
The Brand Sales Manager will proactively promote their assigned collections and promotions to current and prospective customers, whilst also promoting the overall interest of the company and the Brand Portfolio
The Brand Sales Manager will become the expert for the company in the assigned territory and provide feedback to management on the collection, market and marketing and promotional activities and materials aiming to maximise the company presence within their countries
In details, the Brand Manager:
Establishes, develops and maintins business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for the organisation’s products.
Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
Develops clear and effective written proposals for current and prospective customers.
Determines together with the sales management team the yearly targets and properly conveys them to the customers obtaining their commitment
Manages and keep under control the credit history of all the customers within their responsibility
Manages and keeps under control the ageing of goods in stock ordered by customers and applies their best efforts to: Avoid obsolescence due to collections renewals and maximise stock turnover per each customer during the year and expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
Coordinates sales effort with sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service group.
Analyses the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customer’s value to the organisation.
Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers importance profile, share and value opportunities.
Plans and organises personal sales strategy by maximising the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
Keeps well-informed of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through store visits and the reading of pertinent literature.
Responsible for brands representation/visibility in store with continued liaising with Marketing Department.
Plans itinerary and visits to fulfil sales plan whilst minimising travel costs.
Qualifications/Experience:
Educated to degree level
Possess a high level of business acumen.
Be skilled in developing close working and personal relationships with customers.
Clean driving licence.
