Management Accountant Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised Management Accountant Assistant with excellent numerical skills and strong business acumen. Experienced in working to tight deadlines and under pressure. Calm yet assertive, well presented and articulate, seeking a new financial challenge.

Your duties will include;

• Processing daily receipts and liaising with branch operations with regard to customer payments and allocations
• Processing online and BACS payments
• Daily management of all company bank accounts Daily management of all company bank accounts
•
• Processing foreign payments and the related purchase/stock transactions
• Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, nominal ledger accounts and intercompany accounts
• Month end journals, including credit card transactions and accruals
• Preparation of cash forecasts & managing daily cash resources
• Assisting the finance team as required
• Assisting with month end routines

The role will also include some aspects of financial management and your responsibilities must meet the needs of other parts of the financial system. This will require meeting management accounting reporting deadlines, liaising with auditors and helping our network of branches and divisions with queries.

Preferably AAT qualified, you should have a good understanding of Cash Management. Methodical, with an organised and disciplined approach to work, you will also demonstrate the ability to analyse/solve problems and constructively challenge others to deliver extraordinary results. A real team-player with good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships, you will also display strong attention to detail and the resilience necessary to flourish in a dynamic, constantly-evolving environment. We expect you to have strong Excel and accounting software skills.
