Management Accountant

Our client is a local wholesaler & retailer of outdoor & fitness wear, they are currently seeking a Management Accountant to manage the day to day financial functions of the organisation.

As Management Accountant you will be responsible for the monthly reporting of all financial aspects of the business.

The ideal Management Accountant will demonstrate a wide range of skills including – reporting on entire monthly processes to produce month end financial and management accounts for the organisation; Marketing accounts (surplus and deficit reporting); Bad Debt provision and reporting; VAT accounting; as well as providing a wide range of reports across the various business functions.

An understanding of QuickBooks & Xero would be an advantage.

Your duties in this role will include:

* Producing month end financial and management accounts for the organisation.
* VAT accounting & reporting.
* Cash flow monitoring and reporting.
* Participating and assisting in planning and executing the annual statutory accounts and the monthly business reports.

The ideal Management Accountant will possess the following skills and qualities:

* Be a team player, flexible & adaptable – demonstrable ability to work with a variety of people (from different departments).
* The ability to communicate with individuals on all levels – the ability to explain things clearly & offer training & advice to colleagues if required.
* Excellent analytical skills – demonstrable ability to utilise a range of databases to create reports.
* Be a self-starter, highly organised as well as be dedicated & accurate.
* Hold a professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA) – Desirable.
