Management Accountant

Salary: £34,800 – £42,000 per year

Our client is a prestigious College within Oxford University.

They seek a new PQ accountant to help during a period of change/digitisation

Responsibilities of Management Accountant

The postholder will be responsible for:

Preparing Reports

* Produce a range of management reports showing actuals vs budget and forecast for income and expenditure.

* Review actuals and investigate variances with budget holders to validate the results and provide meaningful commentary.

* Develop improved and automated reported using excel skills and collaborating with the College Accountant and the users of the information.

Journal Entry, Reconciliations and Administration

* Calculate accruals and cost reallocations, post associated journals ensuring proper cut-off is applied.

* Ensure Income, expense and other reports are reconciled to the underlying ledger and to third party information where appropriate

* Post and reconcile endowment valuations and transactions to third party information

* Support the College Accountant with the administrative aspects of accounting for the college endowment

Support with Budget and Forecast

* Work with the college accountant and budget holders to prepare income and expenditure budgets

* Review actuals with budget holders to assist them in forecasting results for the rest of the year.

* Update information into budget and forecast models working with the college accountant

The Candidate for Management Accountant

ACCA, CIMA part qualified

At least two years of experience producing management reports, partnering with budget holders to answer queries and investigating variances.
