Inorganic Analytical Chemist – Food and Beverages

Our client is a large and well-established organisation working within food research, development and analysis, based in the West Midlands area.
They are currently seeking an Analytical Chemist to work within their Food Composition section.
Duties for this role will include:
• Testing food samples for their nutritional composition for food labelling and food safety measures
• Carrying out analysis of foodstuffs for metal and mineral content using techniques such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS and AAS
• Analytical method development
• Calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/attributes:
• A relevant degree (Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry), or equivalent
• Previous industry experience, preferably within a food testing laboratory
• Experience using ICP-OES and other analytical techniques
Role: Permanent
Location: South West
Salary: Up to £27,600(depending on skills and experience)
