GEO Specialty Chemicals UK Ltd is seeking a Analytical Chemist to join their team based in Hythe. Offering a salary of £36,000 – £42,000 per annum.

GEO Speciality Chemicals UK Ltd is a leading speciality chemical manufacturer that offers the combination of an innovative environment with development opportunities, decisiveness and creativity.

Due to expansion we are looking for an enthusiastic Analytical Chemist to join our Quality Control team in support of a newly constructed speciality chemicals manufacturing plant at the forefront of GEOSC UK’s business development.

To become our new Analytical Chemist,you will be qualified to degree level in Chemistry or a related science you will also possess minimum 3 years previous experience in the technical analysis of speciality or fine chemicals within a cGMP manufacturing environment. In particular, experience in the development and application of instrument analytical techniques such as LC and GC are required.

Working within a well-equipped laboratory, in support of a dedicated manufacturing team, as our Analytical Chemist you will be responsible for quality testing of production raw materials and products, at all times applying test methods, procedures and keeping records to cGMP / ISO9001 / ISO14001 operating standards. The role includes working with our R&D Dept in the development and validation of new analytical test methods for the introduction of new products and their subsequent consistent commercial manufacture.

As our Analytical Chemist will have a strong awareness of all matters relating to health, safety, environment and quality, thereby ensuring compliance with company good practice and industry regulations.

You will possess good time management skills, be self-motivated with good computer literacy and have an ability to communicate freely at all levels of the organisation.

A pre-determined standard must be achieved in aptitude and mental ability tests during the selection process.
