Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance Advisor

THE COMPANY:

Calibrate Engineering (Part of the Brewster Pratap Recruitment Group) are recruiting for a Health, Safety, Environmental & Compliance Advisor to join their team. My client are a successful manufacturing business based in Goole. This job shall be in commutable distance for those candidates living in Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Goole, Castleford, Wakefield, Hull and Rotherham.

THE JOB:

Reporting into the Managing Director, your responsibilities shall include:

* Diligently lead and be accountable for the delivery of Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) strategy at site level. Lead the identification and appropriate mitigation of risks at site
* Supporting, influence and encourage the Senior Management Team to deliver a consistent, continuously improving and sustainable HSQ&E programme on site
* Working closely with the individual teams to implement effective management systems for health and safety and environment, which reduce the risk of safety and environmental failings, and is audited annually
* Leading the cultural / behavioural health and safety step change programme on site by working closely with managers and employees, providing appropriate training to support
* Ensuring the site is capable of delivering its annual health and safety, quality and environmental objectives to achieve continual improvement
* Auditing local compliance with company standards and identifying corrective action programs to improve
* Co-ordinating the investigation of any accidents or incidents effecting people / property or the local environment. This includes liaising with any enforcement authorities, as a senior Accident Investigator. Drive improvement programme following any incidents
* Developing and implementation of the Quality Management system to support BS ISO 9001:2008/15
* Developing and Implementation of the Environmental Management system to support BS ISO 14001:2004/15

Coordinating the requirements under BBA certificated products or similar

THE PERSON:

To be suitable for this vacancy, you shall have:

* Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
* Auditing experience of ISO9001 & ISO 14001

THE BENEFITS:

You shall receive a basic salary of between £30,000 – £42,000(dependant on experience) as well as an excellent benefits package.
