Health and Safety Advisor

Our job for a Health & Safety Advisor is for a leading housing association based in North West London. Your overall responsibility will be to assist the Health and Safety Manage in meeting the organisations obligations under health & safety legislation.

Key duties will include:

Undertaking H&S audits of the various business areas
Work with Manager to identify risks and implement safe working practices
Advise on H&S matters providing reports and recommendations as appropriate
Developing comprehensive training plans ensuring that all staff receive training plans
Regularly review and improve accident and incident reporting process
Undertake investigations of accidents and/or dangerous occurrences making recommendations where necessary and implementing any approved changes

Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager you will hold your NEBOSH general certificate and have relevant knowledge and practical experience in the application of H&S legislation in a multi-discipline, multi-site environment.

Strong communication and IT skills are essential as is prior experience of undertaking accident investigations, designing and delivering training and establishing monitoring systems.
