Group Accountant

Salary: £51,600 – £60,000 per year

A Group Accountant required to be in the global team leading on accounting and systems projects for an engineering service business located near Bristol. You will be joining a rapidly growing SME who have seen a 20% jump in revenue throughout the pandemic. The 2000 year old industry you will be joining is ever evolving, as is this organisations finance systems.

Group Accountant Responsibilities:
Assist with the development and later preparation of Group consolidated monthly management accounts
Develop Group accounting policies and procedures for a Shared Services environment.
Undertake company accounting activities to prepare the monthly management accounts of the parent holding company.
Collate and prepare Group cash balance reports.
Prepare parent or other allocated company annual budget and forecasts with variance analysis.
Prepare company monthly forecast cash flow reports.
Monthly reporting of project profitability and work in progress balances
Prepare year-end Annual Accounts and liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.
Undertake all relevant activities to ensure statutory and tax compliance requirements for the company are fulfilled.
Undertake ERP systems implementations both locally and overseas.
Providing support to CFO and Group Financial Controller as required, including ad-hoc data analysis and management information reporting
Engaging with Finance team members for continuous improvement and value add activities.
Group Accountant Requirements:
Previous systems implementation experience is essential.
Experience completing consolidated accounting.
Experience applying IFRS accounting standards.
Able to lead and motivate team members both in Finance and project teams.
CIMA or ACCA.
Previous experience working as a Group Accountant or lead role in a Systems implementation project
Able to communicate with stakeholders at different levels in a range of countries.
Willingness to travel globally for system implementations when required.
