Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year
Assistant Management Accountant | London | £35-40K
REPORTS TO: Business Director
BASED AT: E8
PURPOSE: Proactively assist the Business Director with all matters of Practice finance, Produce timely, accurate and relevant financial reports, Maintain the job costing programme and ensure that information is accurate and up to date
Key responsibilities
Non-project responsibilities
* Ensure that the nominal ledger and associated sub ledgers show a clear and accurate report of the Practice’s financial position
* Ensure the Sage 50 is kept up to date and to complete month end and year end processes
* Assist in the production of monthly and quarterly management accounts
* Backup for monthly payroll process (Sage Payroll)
* Assist in the production of annual statutory financial reports
* Quarterly VAT reconciliations and returns
* Monthly reconciliation of all control accounts
* Maintain fixed asset register
* Production of audit pack and liaison with auditors
* Assistance with production of annual budget and quarterly revisions as well as reporting against budget
Project responsibilities
* Set up new projects on Union Square and ensure that information is accurate
* Manage and monitor Union Square to ensure accuracy of data
* Manage and maintain company settings in Union Square
* Assist Studio Leaders with maintaining resource, fee and billing information on Union Square
* Produce fee and billing schedules if requested to assist Project Leaders
* Attendance at monthly Studio financial reviews
Other
* Supervision of and support to Finance Administrator
* Liaison with bank
* Liaison with external accountant
* Maintain insurances and timely renewals of all policies
* Annual collation of data for Professional Indemnity renewal
* Fleet management of Directors cars
* Collating information to assist in the production of bids and tender submissions as required * Cover for finance team an d ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications
* Minimum of CIMA Certificate Level or ACCA Fundamentals

* Strong communication skills
* Ability to produce clear, relevant information
* An eye for detail and accuracy
* Organised and able to multi-task and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
* An aptitude for databases and spreadsheets
