Our reputable manufacturing client is seeking a Cost Accountant / Cost Management Accountant to join their growing workforce in the Worcestershire area.
The company is a leading manufacturing of precision components to various industries, primarily energy.

Details
Supporting the site Finance Director in overseeing the day to day financial accounting of the business. Support business decisions with a particular focus on cost and manufacturing standards, being an integral part of the operational decision making team from a cost and standards point of view.
Ensuring compliance with Corporate Policy, Statutory Requirements and IFRS.
You will support the production of the business financial KPI’s as well as assisting in monitoring business performance, making a significant contribution by advising the management team to maximise business profitability and control costs.

Responsibilities
Financial Management
• Assistance in production of the management accounts
• Preliminary analytical review for discussion with GM / Department Managers inc. variance analysis against budget and latest forecast / spend / P&L / Cost
• Supporting causal analysis bridges and other reporting requirements
• Helping drive Working Capital adherence
• Ensuring inventory is correctly stated and stock counts are appropriately scheduled
• Improve business processes to ensure compliance and improve efficiency.
• Assistance in preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Working closely with the Operations Manager review manufacturing standards.
Management Accounting
• Preparation of weekly Pulse Call data
• Preparation of business analysis to track trend performance of key metrics to identify root cause of performance issues and impact of countermeasures.
• Support in preparing current month’s forecast, three month forecast and annual budgeting process.
• Development and updating of standard costs
• Improving value of management information
• Business modelling for major projects and business initiatives.
• Work with Ops and Engineering to ensure routes and BOM are properly maintained.
• Preparation of weekly forecasts
Other
• Business partner to local site management, familiar with the site manufacturing operations and commercial drivers of the business
• Supports business change initiatives
• Undertakes ad hoc projects as required
• Challenges current working practises and processes to drive improvement within Finance and Manufacturing
• Drives projects that reduce overall costs
• Assist in any Sales and Purchasing invoice queries
Candidate Qualifications:
• Graduate with Part Qualification as minimum in recognised Professional Qualification (Industry or Practice) e.g. CIMA, ACA etc
• Strong IT Skills and must be an effective communicator.
• Risk Management and advisor relationship to management.
• Must thrive in an environment driven by tight schedules/deadlines and to deliver results.
