Group Accountant (Urgent Temp to Permanent Role)

Salary: £60,000 – £67,200 per year

The Role

Group Accountant-

The role will be reporting directly to the company’s Group FC to assist in all group reporting to the parent company, which includes reporting actual and planned results, analytics and supporting on the forecasting and planning.

Key Duties

Data collection and consolidation of the monthly and quarterly group reporting including the intercompany eliminations and other group adjustments
Assisting with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly group reporting packs
Production of management and statutory accounts for several legal entities and preparing regulatory returns
Helping to develop and implement reporting tools, policies and procedures across the group
Assisting with external audits and coordination of information
Getting involved in the accounting of certain key areas such as investments, leases and hedging
Monitor cash flow to ensure we can meet the business requirements and utilise funds in the most efficient manner
Ensure integrity of data in the group finance system and act as finance system administrator

Key Skills / Experience

Exposure to UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS standards and be newly/recently qualified.
Be meticulous, thorough, able to spot discrepancies and able to keep up to date with ever changing regulations.
Exceptional excel skills, report writing and presentation skills and be able to communicate to a range of people including non-finance and also in other countries
The position will work across an international footprint and will therefore need to work closely with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds so foreign languages skills would be an advantage to the role.e
Accountancy qualification –
Due to the current pandemic the role will be to work partly remotely from home initially – (office based in Central London, you must be able to commute to location easily for the future)
this is an urgent role you must be available at short notice the company is seeking to bring on board either on contract or temporary but also will be taking on permanently thereafter
