Global Project Management Office Manager – Based in Europe – Remote Working – to €76k plus benefits
A leading IFM Service Provider is urgently looking for a Global PMO to join them on an exciting Pharmaceutical client account. This role can be located from the comfort of your own home anywhere across Europe but you must speak Fluent English. You must have solid Facilities construction experience such as Fit Out, refurbishment and M&E upgrade project experience. My client is looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken with critical thinking a key asset. You will be required to present to executives in different countries. We need someone who knows each project stage from cradle to grave and who is used to managing KPIs etc. This role is very much about Governance and control, your role is to help make the execution of each project more efficient and more simple. We need someone Tech Savvy who is open to new ways of working. You will need to be a quick thinker and a good leader of people. Travel is limited in this role.
In support of our major global client, the Global Program Management Office manager position is to
drive and support to achieve better quality, consistency, and oversight of projects across an enterprise by developing and maintaining project management methodologies standards and tools. Establishing the organization’s approach to the full life cycle of projects which will include everything from planning to financial close outs. The PMO function will be the central point to ensure performance targets align with the organization’s strategic objectives and adhere to best practice. As a trusted strategic advisor, the Global PMO manager will work under Global Project Director’s direction to help emphasize standardization, governance, leadership, tracking & monitoring, and prioritization.
Ensuring standardization is applied for the area of responsibility.
Deliver Training, Coaching and Mentoring, for the area of responsibility, raising the standards of our project managers and ensuring professionalism at all times.
Act as a central point of contact for project management standards, tools and templates.
Establish and maintain working relationship with the regional CoE to ensure alignment to any standards, process and implement any changes.
Ensuring the information needed to start any project is gathered, as part of the planning, what needs to be achieved and what work that must be done to deliver the project. Determine and document a list of specific project goals, policy, deliverables, functions, features, tasks, deadlines, costs.
Setting up tools and standards for managing the program/project.
Detailed knowledge and application of client’s standards and PM System (ability to train, mentor and support).
Ensure that robust schedule planning is carried out, schedules are reviewed, maintained and Critical Path
Analysis carried out.
Gathering data, managing data, and using analytical processes to predict, understand and constructively
influence the time and/or cost outcomes of the projects/program. Communicating in a format that
assists effective project management and decision making at the appropriate level.
Communicating project/program plans, facilitating the identification of cross project/program
dependencies & reporting on them.
Ensure that a change control process is established and followed for any requests to change the baseline scope of a Project/program. These are recorded, evaluated, and then approved, rejected, or deferred.
Program / project financial estimates & forecasts and actuals are managed, monitored and reported on.
Conduct audits and health checks on projects and where lack of capability found provide coaching and improvement plans.
Setting quality control standards and tracking implementation.
Provide training to new PM’s and existing PM’s where knowledge gaps exist, or when new processes are introduced.
Program/Project risks and issues are identified, managed, and reported on, that support good PM practices and Align with client’s standards.
Planning and executing communication plans to stakeholders.
Collation and provision of required monthly reports to Senior Managers / Stakeholders
Essential
Good written and oral English
Must have Construction Project Management Experience
Working knowledge of Integrated Facilities Management
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmers, including risk. management, budget, and resource allocation procedures.
Good critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Tenacity to drive the delivery of outcomes in challenging client / organizational environments.
Ability to find innovative ways of solving &/or pre-empting problems.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office including MS Project.
PMP Certification preferred
Smartsheet Knowledge is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills.
