Job description
We’re looking for a talented Generator Service Engineer to work for our client.
They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of an electromechanical role.

Please note: In this position you’ll be needed to work some weekends, as well as occasionally working shifts and covering on-call in unsociable hours. Full details of how this will work will be revealed at interview.
The Role:
The Generator Service Engineer role is field-based. Reporting to the Sales Director and covering the Oxfordshire region, you will be primarily responsible for servicing standby diesel generators ranging from 10kva – 2000kva.
In the job you’ll be tasked with working in a field based role servicing standby diesel sets.
Finally, you’ll also be tasked with fault finding diesel engine fuel systems and ancillary equipment.
The standard working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Generator Service Engineer role will have relevant experience of an electromechanical role. You’ll also need experience of general fault finding and electrical knowledge.
Plus, it’s vital that you’ve got experience of servicing and maintaining diesel standby sets from 10kva – 2000kva.
In addition, you’ll need the following:
* 17th edition electrical qualification
* A minimum of 3 years in a similar role
* Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
The ideal person for the role will be the following:
* Able to work unsociable hours
* Travel throughout the UK
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team

The Package:
Basic salary: £18 – £21.6per hour
Overtime: You’ll also have the opportunity to earn overtime in this role
