You will be primarily responsible for supporting the depot foreman with all day-to-day engineering requirements of the depot. In this role, you be predominately field-based, with yard-based work as and when the business requires.
This is a field-based role covering the Bristol region, where you’ll report to the Depot Foreman and will be tasked with the following:
– Fault finding I.E. Control panel, AC/DC electrical systems
– Loading and off-loading of equipment as necessary
– Liaising directly with customers
The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What experience do I need?
My client wants someone who’s got a background in carrying out all servicing and maintenance work on generators both out on-site and in the depot.
They’ll also need you to have experience of Genset synchronization as well as mechanical and electrical repairs.
In addition, you’ll need the following:
– A minimum qualification to ONC/D, NVQ level 3, or City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical/electrical discipline
– A full UK driving license held for a minimum of 3 years
– Experience in generator/plant hire industry
You’ll also need to be the following:
– To prioritise workload to ensure weekly service schedules are completed on time
– Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative with minimum supervision
– Able to communicate on all levels

What can I earn?
This Generator Engineer position offers an attractive basic salary of up to £38,400per annum. You also have the ability to earn overtime in this role.
In addition, you’ll get other benefits which include 25 days holiday plus 8 BH and training and development.

In this position, you’ll be needed to work some weekends, as well as occasionally working shifts and covering on-call in unsociable hours.
