Finance Manager

Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

We are working on an exciting opportunity for a business based in Essex who have created a new position within their business for a Finance Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a finance team of 4-5 employees.

Duties:

* Restructure the Accounts Processes (be the head of the Team).

* Provide recommendations of improvements to the Accounts.

* Review and implement new Accounting Software.

* Jointly provide Management Accounts with KPI’s to a set deadline.

* Sage Cis Returns/Sage Job Costings/Report Designer.

* HR Duties and mentoring of your Team.

* Drive and monitor the performance of the Accounting Team.

* Review processes for duplication.

* Conduct Financial Reviews of Company Systems in areas other than the Finance Department.

* Ensure that statutory obligations are met on issues such as VAT, NI, and Personal Taxation etc.

* To undertake any help required within the department.

* Various ad hoc work for the Company Director’s.

Requirements:

* Minimum knowledge of 5 years Sage Accounts.

* Knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme.

* Microsoft Offices Packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).

* Sound experience as a Finance Manager working in a medium sized working environment.

* To understand the fundamentals of accounting.

* Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.

The position is Monday to Friday, in an office environment. Home working will not be offered for this role.
