Salary: £60,000 – £66,000 per year
Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team.
The company we are working with are a property development and construction company, specialising in the delivery of residential apartment blocks for the private rental sector. Delivering a mix of premium and affordable housing throughout the NW. Projects include: small refurbishments, converting commercial buildings to residential and new build developments.
Operating from their base in Crosby, Merseyside and with active sites throughout the region. This is an opportunity for the right person to join a fast-growing and ambitious property development company.
You will be based in the Crosby HQ and be responsible for any day to day finance-related activities.

● Type: Temp-to-Perm
● Trial period: 3 Months
● Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm

Skills:
● Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
● Able to gather, interpret and present data to facilitate the preparation of budgets and forecasts
● Methodical, conscientious and organised & works to deliver high standards
● Ability to generate professional correspondence unaided
● Articulate, clear and credible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
● Excellent time management skills and able to work on own initiative, managing own workload
● Able to solve complex problems
● Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
● Reasonable level of commercial acumen
● ACCA or CIMA Qualified
● Experience using Xero Accounting Software.
● Advanced Excel skills and a good knowledge of other IT systems.
Responsibilities:
● Managing the financial aspects of the company to ensure that it achieves all financial goals in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation
● Work closely with Director to produce budgets and forecasts
● Analyse financial and operational results to better understand company performance
● Communicate to management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results
● Review existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement initiatives
● Ensure a risk based control model is adhered to for all financial aspects of the company
● Evaluate previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
● Communicate results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations
● Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability
● Management of the finance team, ensuring duties are being carried out to a high standard
● Preparation of monthly and annual management reports in a timely manner
● Ensuring an accurate and up to date management accounts for all group businesses
● Building and maintaining strong relationships with key members of other teams around the business
● Monitoring and reviewing key accounts to ensure information is provided accurately in a timely manner
● Reviewing weekly accounts and ensuring they are complete, carrying out follow up checks as appropriate.
● Continually improving and developing financial processes, procedures and key controls.
