Engagement Officers

Sutton – FTE 37 hours per week, 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week also available) with some local travel

Salary: £26,000per year – £26,000 per year (SP18 to SP23) including OLW, pro rata for part-time roles.

They are responsible for:
– Designing and tailoring engagement programmes to support young people into education, training, work/apprenticeships and volunteering
– Developing service user key life skills and diverting offending behaviours/attitudes
– Designing, developing and delivering life skills programme workshops supporting ECM outcomes
– Delivering innovative activities enabling young people to develop their skills and confidence
– Assisting service user to acquire social and budgeting skills to live independently
– Lead on service user engagement and contribute to the service user engagement strategy
– Liaising with keys agencies to coordinate and improve provisions

Engagement Officers will also:

– Monitor and assess each service user’s tenancy management abilities
– Support young people move-on to increase independence
– Contribute towards support plans, risk management plans, CAF and pathway plans
– Recruit young people on to activities, workshops and programmes and retain their engagement
– Work closely with ASB Teams/SNT identifying hotspots and develop appropriate interventions

Successful applicants will have:
– Experience of designing and delivering quality workshops, activities/projects for young people
– Experience of developing and carrying out surveys and systems for evaluation and feedback
– Knowledge of key methods to engage, consult and involve young people in their provision
– IT literacy and be self servicing
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, persuasion and influencing skills
– Ability to work core hours of 1pm-9pm weekdays and 10 am -4pm weekends
