Design Engineer

Salary: £42,000 per year

Design Engineer, Hull, up to C£35,000 + pension

Arlington Moore Recruitment is working on behalf of a progressive, dynamic and market leading Hull based manufacturing company who are innovators in their field. Although already very well established, this company is experiencing exciting times with ambitious plans for growth over the next few years. This role is now vacant due to expansion of the Engineering team.

As the Design Engineer you will very much be a part of working on designs from concept to completion as well as engaging in technical research in order to apply new materials and components to ensure that client expectations are met, and new ideas evolve. You will also be involved in improving the design of products whilst understanding the knock-on effect of changes and the ability to manufacture.

Responsibilities will include.

• Working with clients to establish a detailed mechanical engineering brief
• Providing highly detailed 3D CAD models and drawings
• Selecting materials and designs
• Supporting Production with queries and development builds
• Creating bill of materials
• Working with composite materials and metals
• Working with production, involved in process management and managing workflows (lean manufacturing)

You

• Experience in the use of 3D CAD package
• Experience within manufacturing / engineering environments
• Experience within Mechanical Design
• Experience in managing engineering projects ideally using composite materials and metals
