Controls Design Engineer

Salary: £54,000 – £72,000 per year

Our client is a thriving, engineering company who manufacture a variety of machinery, parts and components for customers all over the world.

Utilising the latest equipment and technology they have an enviable reputation in the engineering sector, manufacturing to the highest quality.

They employ around 90 staff at the site in King’s Lynn and have a dynamic and friendly culture within the company.

Due to continued success and expansion a further Controls Design Engineer is required to join the innovation team of 7.

You will be responsible for the design, test and commission of electrical control systems for client’s machinery meeting contractual/customer requirements within time and budget including developing and producing PLC and HMI software and designing, specifying and issuing electrical hardware parts lists.

We are ideally looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and skills:

• You will ideally be qualified to Engineering degree level, or BTEC Higher Certificate in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience of installing and commissioning process equipment and a knowledge of programming and fault-finding on PLC systems is desirable, although on-site training will be provided.
• Ability to develop and produce software to functional specifications.

Salary to suit experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, contributory pension and other benefits.
