Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year
In line with a strategic growth plan we have a fantastic opportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer from a building services background to join the Kent office of a successful and ambitious independent M&E Design Consultants in the UK.
THE COMPANY
* Start-up company running for circa 3.5 years.
* Award winning project experience.
* Projects including major mixed-use, education, commercial and high-rise residential developments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* The Mechanical Design Engineer will be working on mainly UK based projects working from concept design stage through to commissioning and handover.
* Equipment selection and specification.
* Liaison with the multi-disciplinary project team including Architects, Structural Engineers and Contractors.
* Site inspections.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
* Ideally Degree or equivalent Qualified in Mechanical Design or Building Services Engineering.
* Working knowledge of UK standards.
* Working knowledge of building regulations, especially Parts G, F and L.
* Would have at least a couple of years Consultancy Design experience and have worked on a range of projects within the built environment.
* Hevacomp or Cymap software experience.
* Must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
