A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design engineer to join an expanding, reputable company based in the Essex area.

My client is a leader within the packaging industry and specialise in the manufacture of labelling machinery. The Mechanical Design Engineer must particularly have experience in special purpose machinery. They will oversee the project from manufacture to dispatch so good communication skills are needed.

This exciting role will also offer the Mechanical Design Engineer to be involved in new machine and system design development.

The Mechanical Design Engineer should have;

– Experience with special purpose machine design experience
– Experience within the packaging machinery industry
– Competence in Solidworks or other 3D design packages
– HNC, HND or higher

The Mechanical Design Engineer’s role will include;

– Resolves mechanical design problems using solutions that involve new techniques and concepts where applicable
– Designs products and systems in line with existing product lines
– Provide accurate bills of material and assembly procedures
– Design products and systems from customer and company specifications and oversee through to manufacture
– Research and analyse data
– Taking ownership of projects
– Maintaining a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations
