Salary: £26,000 – £31,200 per year

Cover Supervisor – Wandsworth – South West London

Location – South West London, Wandsworth

What does this work involve?

You will be expected to commute to a school in the morning, once you arrive you will receive cover work which you will be asked to give to your assigned classes, and you will be expected to take a register, manage the behaviour of the class throughout the day, and ensure all the pupils you are assigned to watch over are safe.

You will be expected to ensure the class runs smoothly and any disruptive behaviour is effectively managed according to the schools behavioural management policy. You will not be expected to plan any lessons or have prior teaching experience, but prior experience is desirable.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• No formal qualifications/experience are required for cover supervision work. Please note desirable qualities will be a resilient personality, good time keeping, confidence managing classes/prior experience working with young people

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH AQUINAS EDUCATION, YOU MUST:

• Be willing to register with Aquinas Education and complete all required vetting checks
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
