Purchase Ledger Supervisor Vacancy – Aylesbury

Salary: Up to £42,000per annum 

Hours: 42.5 per week (Monday to Friday)

About the Job Vacancy

You will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger team, including performance management, setting objectives and monitoring progress. You will ensure the bank is up to date with payments that have been made daily which includes, standing orders and direct debits, supplier payments and variable direct debits. You will also manage bank reconciliations, invoice payments and staff expenses, as well as tax reminders for courtesy cars.

You will manage all complex queries for purchase ledger, working closely with suppliers and managers to resolve issues and attend meetings, and process journals and account for prepayments and accruals.

Additionally, you will run new and maintain existing reports, understand/analyse costing and margins and process day ends, record transactions, process purchase invoices and allocate statements.

You will be responsible for recording and querying utility bills, rent invoices and business rates, manage cost centre and cost allocation, and cost re-charge to inter companies and other adhoc sales invoicing, following approval processes throughout.

As the business continues to grow, you will be responsible for expanding the purchase ledger team accordingly, working closely with the HR team to source suitable candidates and carry out interviews

The ideal candidate

You will have experience in a similar position and have people management experience, experience gained in the automotive sector would be beneficial but not essential.

Part or fully qualified AAT would be beneficial but not essential subject to experience.
