This position is based in: Thurrock, Essex
Salary: £29,400 – £31,800DOE
Hours: Working week is any 5 from 7 days – Including Sunday – Shift patters (05:00am – 14:00pm ), (1:30am – 20:00pm )

As a Day Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate will report directly to the Day Shift Manager and have responsibility for the success of the day operations ensuring all Drivers and Couriers have the correct information, paperwork etc and that they comply with driving regulations.

Principle Responsibilities:

Two shift patterns required to cover the following operational requirements – ( 05:00am – 14:00pm ) ( 11:30am – 20:00pm )

• Warehouse & Logistics experienced essential
• Keeping Transport & Health and Safety legislation up to date within the site.
• Dealing with driver’s taco graphs, Digi cards & infringements, Vehicle and Resource Planning.
• Monitoring the drivers hours against the WTD.
• Allocating paperwork, HHT’s and consigned parcels to drivers.
• Ensuring correct procedures are followed in the warehouse day operation.
• Ensure all Delivery vehicles depart on time
• Communicating effectively with the night supervisors.
• Preparing site KPI reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Issue paperwork to Sub depot couriers
• Controlling contractor operations
• Dealing with enquiries from Couriers and Sub Depots
• Ensure depot hygiene standards are met every day

Experience & Qualifications

• Warehouse & Transport Experience Essential.
• International CPC qualification an advantage.
• Valid FLT cert preferred.
