BMS Design Engineer

Salary: £36,000 – £54,000 per year

We are working with a multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit for a Building Automation Design Engineer/BMS Engineer to be based in their London office.
THE COMPANY
* A very well established International Multidisciplinary consultancy operating worldwide with multiple offices spread across the UK with their Head office based in Central London.
* Large focus on sustainability and low energy building designs across various sectors ranging from data centre facilities, large university buildings, leisure facilities, healthcare as well as high rise / high end residential and commercial developments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* The Building Automation Design Engineer/BMS Engineer will be supervising and maintaining the existing installations
* The Controls Engineer/BMS Engineer will be building control system strategies and designs along with creating the specifications for tender and construction
* They will review and comment on contractor proposals and designs
* Managing time efficiently by working on various projects at the same instant either independently or in a team
* The Building Automation Design Engineer/BMS Engineer will be working alongside the various teams across the range of disciplines
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
* HND or degree in a relevant Engineering subject
* The ability to demonstrate experience within control system design
* Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and schematics as well as thermodynamics and psychometrics
* DDC and PLC architectures and networks
* BACnet, Modbus and KNX protocols (ideally MQTT)
* Thorough understanding of IP networking is essential
* A systematic and efficient individual with excellent communication skills
