Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

A national multi discipline design and building services consultancy is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design engineer for its site based office in West London.

This opportunity could suit either a Principal Engineer seeking an opportunity to lead their own transport infrastructure framework projects in the UK’s leading airport.

Key roles and responsibilities for the Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will include carrying out all necessary design functions covering all aspects of HVAC using both manual and automated methods.

Engineers must possess a comprehensive and current knowledge base of all Mechanical design building and infrastructure services, with a particular focus on infrastructure, buildings and airports.

Since forming over sixty years ago the organisation has grown from strength to strength working in a number of sectors including education, rail, healthcare, technology, aviation, commercial, mixed use and waste to energy projects. A large proportion of projects are confirmed on five-year framework agreements with a guaranteed level of work across all sectors.

A minimum of seven years UK work experience is essential so please only apply if this is the case. A degree in a Mechanical Engineering subject is essential with a special interest in engineers either chartered or seeking to become chartered in the near future.
